Clark Superior Court 2

Shelley Marble started working in the Clark County Prosecutor’s office in 1999 after graduating from Indiana University Law School.  As a new deputy prosecutor, she prosecuted juvenile offenders and enforced child support orders.  After a year on the job, she was promoted to child support director where she managed the child support office of five workers.  Three years later, Shelley was transferred to the Criminal division, where she helped prosecute Domestic Violence cases but was named the Sex Crimes prosecutor when that position was suddenly vacated.

For the past five years, Shelley has been prosecuting child molesters, child pornographers and other crimes against children in Clark County.  She has worked extensively with Child Protective Services and all the local police agencies, including those in other counties and in other states.  Shelley has also been either first or second chair in jury trials involving Attempted Murder, Child Molest, Neglect of a Dependant, Production of Methamphetamine, Dealing in Scheduled Narcotics, Domestic Violence, Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated, and Intimidation.

Marble would like to evaluate and improve the efficiency of Clark Superior #2 Court by computerizing the court’s docket.  Marble also wants to encourage Clark County officials in their continuing progress of obtaining a new computer system that would bring all county, town and city courts online which would enable each court to run more efficiently. Marble would continue the programs established by outgoing judge Cecile Blau, such as Drug Court which is a hands-on, intensive program of rehabilitating drug abusers.

Shelley is married to David Marble who is a 19 year veteran on Jeffersonville Police Department and is currently the assistant Chief over the Uniform Division.  Together they have two year old twins.  Shelley’s father-in-law is former Clark County Sheriff Dean Marble.

Shelley Marble has worked for the people of Clark County as a Deputy Prosecutor and would continue to have Clark County’s best interests at heart as Clark Superior #2 Judge.  Shelley would appreciate your support and your vote on May 6, 2008.

Jeffersonville Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 100 is endorsing Deputy Prosecutor Shelley Marble for Clark Superior Court #2 for the following reasons:
  •     She will bring prosecutor sensibilities to the bench
  •     Marble has shown she has fought for victims of crime
  •     She has always been respectful and helpful to law enforcement in their investigations
  •     Clark County needs a judge that not only protects the rights of the defendant but also the rights of the victims.
